Pure Psyllium Husk

I swear by drinking 1 tablespoon twice a day in 8oz of water.  It's also an awesome additive
to homemade smoothies.  Psyllium Husk Powder comes from the finest source in India.  You don't have to try this brand as I'm not brand loyal to any particular Psyllium Husk Powder.  Just make sure it's 100% Psyllium Husk Powder.  A lot of brands add fructose, citric acid amongst other things which offer no health benefits at all.  The pure substance doesn't have much of a taste however, I will tell you the consistency can be a little "slippery" so stir and drink down asfast as you can.  If you absolutely can't get it down in plain water, try 100% juice.  Psyllium Husk is a natural bulking agent and can be used daily for regularity in lieu of extensive/toxic detox products.  Psyllium may also be a useful adjunct as a weight loss and weight management tactic.

Coconut Oil

I have been using coconut oil for my body and hair for years now.  However, I love it most for my hair in the winter time.  Coconut oil is a saturated fat so it's solid when cool however it turns into a very light oil rather quickly when you rub your hands together.  When I apply it to my hair it leaves my hair light and shiny.  I usually purchase the 16oz jar for less than $10.  It lasts a very long time because a little goes a long way.  Oh and it hardly has a smell so you don't have to worry about walking around smelling like a nut!  ;-P  Give it a try!  You'll love it!

Mixed Chicks

I have been wearing my natural hair for almost six years now!  I was very worried when I first decided to go natural because I'd been getting perms since childhood and really didn't know my true texture.  I was a product junky for quite some time but I've at least figured out what leave-in conditioner works best for my texture.

I truly love Mixed Chicks Leave-In Conditioner.  It's truly curl defining with no frizz. You’ll love the way this alcohol-free, non-sticky, lightweight product leaves your hair inviting to touch as it defines and locks moisture into every curl.

Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat

I have very thin nails.  All I did was file my nails, wash my hands then apply the Perfect Formula Pink Gel Coat.  It dries fast and doesn't have a strong odor.  My nails were also instantly hard and pink.  I applied an additional coat two more times.  After a week, I removed the polish and applied a fresh coat.  This could be worn alone, or under your favorite color.  It saves you money on manicures so for that reason alone, it's worth every bit of $30!

California Baby Calendula Cream

I discovered this product while in search for something to clear up a rash on my daughters face.  In just two days after the first use, her face was as clear and smooth as her bottom! :-)  I applied it to her face and neck (the areas where the rash was) twice a day; once was at night because it has this soothing lavender aromatherapy type of scent.

The price is kind of steep, $20 for a 4 oz jar.  However, I will continue to use it because it is all natural and it works!

All Natural Boudreaux's Butt Paste

This diaper rash cream is awesome.  It's light.  Goes on and cleans off easily.  I apply a thin layer after every diaper change and my daughter has never had a diaper rash (knock on wood).  It's well worth the $10 for a 4 oz tube.

Nature Made Prenatal Multi Tablet

Yes these are Prenatal Vitamins but any young woman can take them, pregnant or not.  These vitamins won't make you nauseous or constipated.  They are very gentle on the stomach and help to make your skin, hair and nails as healthy as ever.  Not to mention, studies have shown that women of child-bearing age whom started taking prenatal vitamins for a few months prior to getting pregnant, lowered the risks of their children developing certain diseases and cancers.   I take one every night before bed.  $20 for 250 tablets is a steal!
